Globalization Op-Ed
Globalization is the tendency of businesses, technologies, or philosophies to spread throughout the world, or the process of making this happen. Globalization was the project we studied for two months. For thoses two month we studied, discussed about world problems for an example obesity is a world problem including the U.S. Also for this project we wrote an Op-Ed mine was about obesity. I mainly focused in the U.S and Mexico because they are the two biggest.
This project was a lot to take on. I took away quite a bit with getting a deeper understanding of globalization what it is and how the world has changed through time. During the Cold War globalization was the USSR and U.S with world power, atomic bombs and the threat of going to war with troops. The biggest take away isn't what I learned but what I found globalization will alway change throughout time as we get older as a nation or just personal. My writing skills have improved throughout time as I get introduced to new idea’s of writing styles for an example an Op-Ed. It opens my eyes to new thing to write about and how to write them. An Op-Ed is completely different than an essay by letting you choose what you feel and want to make an argument. The writing part for me is harder than most thing especially with the idea. In this project we could choose anything to write about. Over all introducing the writing was an opportunity to make me a more successful writer. A political cartoon was used in this project as well. A political cartoon can cause some problem since some people might not agree with your opinions. For this project it was a good idea and helped me and i'm sure other people as well help get what they were trying to say on the Op-Ed into a drawing to help peers get a picture or just pass the word on about an issue in society. For my political cartoon I had a obese person walking downs a road to a Coca-Cola factory showing how he is addicted and how it can make you obese. |
